Last day of October fun!

Well hell...o and happy Halloween to you all. We have been having such busy and successful week we thought we would write a fun blog. Over the weekend the Innu team took London by storm and went to the famous Halloween Bacanal party; I have put some pictures below.

Halloween was marked the end of the Celtic year, and was used as a night to honor the dead. It was believed that this night was the time when the veil between the living and the dead was the thinnest and therefore easier to communicate with the dead. People would put lit gourds, turnips and eventually pumpkins on their porches to welcome deceased loved ones and act as protection from evil spirits. So we thought we had to put a pumpkin on our blog and found this most divine, creative pumpkin (below).

Today is the last day of our #breastcancer awareness campaign where we are giving you all a 20% discount for all items (have a look at our Facebook shop and get in touch!) and if you go on to our Facebook page, like and share our breast cancer awareness picture (as below) you could be the lucky winner of a fabulous bag worth £275, what have you got to loose? Jump on the #competition bandwagon now!

And if you need a little inspiration on which beautiful bag to choose, look at some below, we have even found that there is a similar design for us by Roberto Cavalli for £1,365.00 or you could opt for one of our handmade python clutch bags starting at £275.00! A little fact about our snakeskin is we get them from the same place as Prada, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli and so many more designers, we hand pick them directly from the source so we know we are giving the best quality to you.

Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is just around the corner and we bet a lot of you are wondering what they should be! So we have thought of coming at your rescue and give you a couple of suggestions.

First of all, since in the last post we talked about The Candlelight Club’s Halloween Masquerade Ball, we though it would be nice to help you out by showing you a quick DIY way to make a flapper dress. After all, when you think at the fashion of the Roaring Twenties don’t you immediately think of flapper dancers? Plus, after the release of The Great Gabsy in the cinemas, 1920s style is on trend more than ever! Watch this video to create a flapper look with your own hands. It is very simple and you can brag about your craftsmanship skills with your friends at the party.

If on the other hand you want to dress as something scary, as the tradition requires, there is a lot you can do with just some make up. It is time to network folks and befriend a talented make up artist! Just kidding.. the looks we are about to show you are very easy to make; anyone can do these with just a little bit of creativity:

Finally we would like to give some funny, and at the same time scary, ideas to all the lucky woman with a baby bump.  All you need to do is to think big. After all is two of you!

The Candlelight Club’s Halloween Masquerade Ball

The cold weather has kicked in and celebrities all over the world have taken out their sweaters showing us how to wear this casual garment in the most fashionable ways. Pair your Innu London cashmere knitwear with blue jeans for an effortless look or with a long, high waisted pencil skirt for a chic outfit.

On another note, the spookiest celebration of the year is just around the corner and we have found the perfect party for all the 1920s lovers: The Candlelight Club’s Halloween Masquerade Ball. The event taking place the night of the 26th of October in a secret location announced to guests only the day before the party, will offer you the opportunity to be immersed in a realistic Roaring Twenties party scene with period stage acts, occult practices and live jazz music. If you have watched Woody Allen’s movie Midnight in Paris and you wished you were able to go back in time just as Owen Wilson, then this is the party for you. And if you haven’t seen the movie watch it now, you will not regret it!

Stay tuned for next blog post about Innu London’s suggestions on how to dress for the occasion.

The Beautiful and the Damned Right Delicious

Hello everyone! Last week we talked about Bakers week with the fantastic Baketopia event. If you missed it do not worry, because this is Chocolate week! In fact from 14th to the 20th of October you can celebrate this delicious, uber caloric food in London. Starting tomorrow the Salon du Chocolat opens its doors to everyone. The tickets are £18, worth every penny. If you are on a diet do not despair. You can still celebrate with one of our beautiful dark chocolate python clutches! And no, they are not edible! Follow this link to see them and we are doing 20% off everything this month for breast cancer awareness.

In the last post we also mentioned London film festival. Who was lucky enough to go might have seen Sandra Bullock and Keira Knightley in flesh, but for the less fortunate who are curious to know what these two Hollywood movie stars have worn for the event, here you have. Stunning!

A Tasty Weekend

Well, that’s it then. After a hot, long, sunny summer, here it comes that time of the year when the rains lash and the winds howl. But we have to say, we are not too sad as this weekend there are a lot of “weather friendly” fun things to do.

With this weather, it is the perfect time to lock ourselves in the cinema and watch as many great movies as we can. Luckily enough, London Film Festival takes place during this weekend, which gives us plenty of opportunities to stay warm watching upcoming movies. Although many screening seems to be sold out, you can still get tickets on the door on the same day.

If you are not a cinephile, we have a great alternative. Well, unless you are on a diet! Have you ever heard of Baketopia? It is a 100% edible pop-up, made entirely of baked treats. Inside Baketopia you will be able to dip frog-shaped cookies into a milk fountain or catch pastry butterflies. This dream event takes place this Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm at Kingly Court. We know we will be there!

Either way the cold weather should not put you off to look at your usual best. Therefore, we put together just for you an outfit suggestion to look chic during this rainy weekend. A cozy, warm yet stylish outfit completed with our favourite Innu cardigan.

  • Felix Rey umbrella £42
  • Innu London cardigan £250
  • Burberry short trench coat £695
  • Hunter wellingtons £125

Stay warm this weekend and have fun!

Pretty In Pink

Be ready to be drenched in pink this autumn and winter. Clearly designers could not wait for the temperatures to drop to use this shade in their collections and have designed some of the most beautiful outerwear to date. It may be too girly for some of you but one thing for sure, you will see the major fashion capitals covered in pink this season.

Innu London is, of course, always one step ahead of the game and we offer different products from our latest collection in this trendy hue. If you are in the search for the perfect exotic looking phone case, ipad case, purse, or even just for a clutch, you may stop looking, we have it. Check out our ASOS Marketplace collection here

And sticking with the pink theme, October is #BreastCancerAwareness month. Innu London cares very much about helping in founding ways to improve survival rates of this horrible disease, and have decided to donate 5% of all October’s profits to the no-profit organisation Breast Cancer Care. We are also giving away to one lucky #winner, one of our gorgeous pink snakeskin python clutch bags. All you have to do to be entered in the contest is to share the giveaway link on our Innu-London Facebook page or re-tweet it on twitter (@innulondon). By doing so, you will automatically be entered into our prize draw. At the end of the month we will randomly select the winner.

So what are you waiting for? It is time to update your wardrobe!
Love Innu
