Ballet Inspired

Yesterday was one of those creative sort of days in which we decided to head over to Bond Street for some inspiration. And with Dance season underway we thought some Ballet style designs could be incorporated into our upcoming fashion shows in the new year. This does mean of course we will be paying the Ballet a visit this Christmas season. The Nutcracker by the Royal Ballet, one of our personal favourites, open’s it’s doors on the 4th December until 16th January at the Royal Opera House.

The elegance, style and passion that defines Ballet are the traits we aspire to portay in our designs. Deep, low cut backs, feather detailing and the classic tutu are to be fused into our  future collections with an Innu London twist. Obviously we cannot tell you too much....you’ll just have to come and see the show yourselves, but more about that later.

Busy as a bee with Blogger's Love and Sir Paul Smith

This week we thought we’d venture down to the London Design Museum to clear our heads and get some inspiration. They are celebrating the talent of Sir Paul Smith and his contribution to the fashion industry. The exhibit not only focuses on his fabulous collections and iconic pieces but shares his journey on accomplishing himself over 40 years from his first shop in Nottingham in 1970 to his global success today.... This is a definite must this weekend. 

I don’t know about you but walking round museums definitely works me up an appetite so  I am highly recommending Elliot’s, just round the corner on Stoney Street. We love to sit outside with a few sharing plates and people watch... although it may be a bit chilly at the time of year, so sitting inside would be better. From fresh fish to burgers, wine to cocktails, Elliot’s will surely provide some tasty treat for your taste buds. 

To top off our week we were lucky enough to exhibit at the Blogger’s Love fashion event, exclusively at the Penthouse in Leicester Square. We met some incredible people and enjoyed a very successful show and cannot wait for the next event.....Let’s just say Innu London should be in a few more stores soon...

Christmas in Cashmere

The Coca Cola advert has arrived on our screens...which can only mean one thing. CHRISTMAS. 
As the festive season in well under way, we decided to venture down to Chelsea for some Christmas spirit. Our favourite place in the area, Bluebird, have up’ed their stakes this year  by providing their very own ice skating rink in their courtyard. And with tickets only £10 per person, there is no excuse not to go along for some chrimbo cheer. After you’ve worked up an appetite, indulge in a glass of bubbly and some of their exquisite bar snacks (we highly recommend mini burgers and salt and pepper squid...) whilst you overlook your fellow skaters below.  You may even be lucky enough to bump into any of the MIC crowd at Bluebird which is known to be a local hang out spot. We will definitely be tuning in for tonight’s episode, with Spenny up to his old tricks again its is hard for it not to be everyone’s guilty pleasure.

Dancing in Dubai

This week Innu have been lucky enough to be enjoying the magnificent sunshine, food and culture in non other than Dubai. The perfect weather has been incredibly inspirational and may be to thank for one of our next collections....we will have to wait and see.

Catching Fire

The long wait is over,  The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has finally arrived. The fans took over Leicester Square in possibly one of the largest crowds since the Twilight Saga, to see Jennifer Lawrence at the World Premier in yet another stunning silk and sequin piece by non-other than Christian Dior.

Great British Glamour

One must this weekend is to visit the Victoria and Albert museum for the club to catwalk 1980’s fashion exhibit. The exhibit will take you on a creative journey into how designers, including the eccentric John Galliano and Betty Jackson as well as how club wear and catwalk have helped shape fashion today.

If the 80’s isn’t really your style, London is also hosting an exhibit displaying the most magnificant ballgowns from British Glamour since 1950 at various locations around the city.
