Milan 2015: Men's Fashion Week

With today being the final day of Men's Fashion Week in the fabulous Milan, the Innu London team have chosen our favourite designers from the past week. As we have mentioned before we are hoping to introduce our Men's Collection sometime next year. Maybe some of these will help inspire a unique and exciting collection..

ARMANI
We LOVE the monochrome. Currently, we have some basic samples consisting of t-shirts and hoodies. We are looking to intergrate patterns, shapes and textures into the future collection maybe like Armani.

TOM FORD
Suede jackets, well cut jeans, fringe detailing and we absolutely adore the fancy neck scarf...as we always say 'It's all in the accessories'.

BALLY
The Swiss designer brand has ideally captured my idea of the perfectly dressed man. High quality leather, gorgeously made jackets and coats and impeccably tailored jeans and trousers... need I say more.

ROBERT NICOLL
Bright colours, geomeric shapes, cool and sharp...the epitome of Innu London. These are all the elements we want to bring into the Men's Collection. Well Done.

Now for you women out there, you may be slightly more interested in visiting 'The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945 - 2014' at the one and only V&A museum. The exhibit takes place until the 27th July so you all have plenty of time.

Finally, we are delighted to announce we have begun our Summer Collection Sale. Customers will recieve a 30% discount by entering "SUMMER14" at the checkout. Explore the sale here.

Ascot Attire

For over 100 years luxury fashion, haute couture pieces and over the top hats have graced the Royal Ascot Racecourse each and every year. Ascot has inspired fashion through the ages from the wide brimmed hats that inspired Audrey Hepburn's My Fair Lady to the mini skirts that took over the 60's.

Here's our guide to impeccable Ascot attire:

1. Hat
The hat is possibly the MOST important thing to remember for Ascot. Unfortunately the only hats Innu London have ever offered our wonderful customers are cashmere beanie hats (soon to be back on the website) so you will have to look elsewhere such as Jane Taylor who specialise in the most exquisite bespoke hats you will ever see.

2. Dress Length
Ideally try to keep your dress no higher than knee length...think of it as Ascot etiquette. Whether it's a body con, full skirt or Innu London, there are plenty of sophisticated and elegantly 'modest lengthed' options.
Why not try the Maria dress with delicate diamonte detailing on the back to give it that added touch of luxury.  The Maria dress is available for purchase or for a 2 night hire.

Or the confused skirt with a sharp and crisp shirt...either way you know you will arrive looking chic and magnifique.

3. Bags
Now this one we well and truely have got covered. As we always say its all about the accessories. A simple clutch bag that doesn't take the attention away from the rest of your outfit (thats the 'over-the-top' hats job surely?) is all you need.  Simplicity is key and with our handmade snakeskin clutch bags and tote bag collection. At Innu London we ensure all our skins are ethically sourced and are of the highest luxury quality to produce pieces that will last for a lifetime.
No matter what colour you go for on the day, we can certainly cater for you with our array of neutral, pastel and brightly coloured bags. Explore the range here.

Whatever you ladies decide to wear, make sure you don't take it too seriously, have fun and enjoy dressing up with your friends. Until next time...

Postcards from Cornwall

The innu London team are taking a trip to the south west of England this weekend…yes that’s right we are off for a relaxing weekend in Cornwall.

Kimberley’s (the head designer, who you should already know by now) Father is the owner and creator of the incredibly unique treehouse rentals dotted around lizard point. Hand crafted by his own two hands, the houses include the Tree Sparrow House nested into a tree overlooking the sea and the tranquil countryside, and the Jack Sparrow House overlooking Falmouth Bay from the hilltop. For more information about these amazing outlandish rental homes explore the website here:

With the amazing weather we are being spoilt with, I can safely say without a doubt that we will be heading to the beach at some point. The lizard peninsula lies on the most southwesterly point on the British mainland, which means it’s the hottest too right?? Kynance Cove Beach is famous for the mesmerizingly stunning sunsets making it one of the most photographed and painted beach in the South West of England. The white sand along with the dark red and serpentine rock produces a breathtaking sight. We have already decided this is where we are making camp during the days wearing our casual Innu London tees over our bikinis of course.

With the World Cup underway, the boys (and admittedly myself) are going to be wanting a pub to watch the England match and to eat some typical English pub food. The Top House Inn is steeped in tradition with an added touch of contemporary luxury style. The food is produced using only fresh and local ingredients. Imagine fresh fish accompanied with a very extensive wine list…Yes please!!

It is the perfect place for turning heads in our casual dresses from the maxis to the shorter printed dresses from the Exotic Cruise SS '14 Collection. So there we have it , Innu London’s weekend ahead. We wish you all a sunny and very happy weekend, until next time.

CFDA Fashion

The annual CFDA awards took place on Monday night at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Centre in the fabulous New York City. Our favourite twins, Mary Kate and Ashley won accessories designer of the year for their brand The Row while Rihanna won fashion icon of the year wearing a very questionable outfit choice that made us think whether she deserved that award or not…maybe we’re a little jealous of her envious figure and the 260000 Swarovski crystals she was draped in. If you’ve got it flaunt it!!

As always the fabulous Serena…we mean Blake Lively owned the red carpet with her 60’s look. The dress, hair and headband…perfect! We like to think she’s channeling her inner Audrey Hepburn and who wouldn’t.

Heidi Klum looked ever the Innu girl in her flowing backless dress. If you want a similar look why not go for our leopard print maxi or contact us for our bespoke service at info@innu.co.uk.

Coco Rocha is the epitome of Chanel in her most elegant and stunning gown and headpiece.

Simple and effective, Anja Rubik stuns in a gorgeous one piece jumpsuit by Stella McCartney. Innu hopes to introduce some jumpsuits into future collections so watch this space.

The plunging neckline is seductive yet sophisticated and Naomi Campbell knows exactly how to pull it off. With a little less sparkle Innu offers you a range of alternative evening wear to buy or hire at a more affordable cost. See the range here

So there we have our favourite looks from the magnificent CFDA awards.
