Year of the Horse

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important celebrationin the Chinese Calendar. The year of horse symbolises immediate success….We’rehoping this means our 2 fashion shows will go well…The festival lasts for 15 days and ends today known as the Lantern Festival. Local’s fromall over Beijing to Seoul to Singapore visit temples and light incense to mark the first day of the New Year. This is particularly interesting for Innu London as the temples and natural beauty of South East Asia is where the main inspiration behind the designs and essence of the brand came from.

The Wooden Horse and Fire as they bring in the Chinese New Year.

For you readers in Australia it is now summer and the Chinese New Year Festival has been going on since the 26th January. We are saying goodbye to the year of the snake and hello to the year of the horse which is recognised to be the Chinese people’s ethos: making unremitting efforts to improve themselves...We are most definitely taking this ethos on board this year! The beautiful harbour city launched the festival on 26th January at Belmore Park where you would of seen fantastic shows, fireworks and magnificent and colourful costumes, perfect environment for wearing one of our colourful clutch bags. The beauty and excitement continues on in the Chinese Markets, outdoor film screenings and even a unique Breaking-Dancing show called Compartmentalised. Next year we are definitely considering this an option. Maybe you can even treat yourselves and stay in the Four Season's which is very close by...!

A colourful selection of our Iluh clutch bag range.

Finally, today is the FINAL day to use our "JANBLUES" on our Etsy shop and our "BACANAL" code on our website. So please have a look as you are getting a very good deal. But also keep checking our social media pages for updates and exciting information on the run up to our fashion shows during London Fashion Week.
