Artistic Insights

Yesterday, the Innu London team thought we’d get out the office and make the most of that gorgeous summer sun…all the while working, of course. We decided to broaden our horizons with some contemporary art to get some inspiration for future collections.

Our first stop was the ‘Bailey Stardust’ exhibition at the fabulous National Portrait Gallery. The magnificent David Bailey began his work in 1965 and is now showing an incredible 250 masterpieces, photographing celebrities in black and white against an empty background. Our favourites included our favourite Innu girl, Kate Moss and an a ridiculously oversized display of Michael Caine that in all fairness we are just simple envious at the fact we cannot fit it proudly in our office. And yet there is so much more talent to be seen. At only £16 per ticket, it is definitely worth every penny. So this weekend we highly recommend paying a visit to this mind-blowing exhibition. But it is on until 1st June so you have plenty of time if you already have plans.

After the National Portrait Gallery we headed to the ICA gallery for the Richard Hamilton exhibit which again was fascinating. With his work displayed in a floating formation it really caught the eye.

We hope that some of this work and ideas can be incorporated into our future collections and bring something new and exciting to the table for you all to enjoy. But until then, our worldy collection provides more than enough versatility and variety to get you through spring summer 2014.

For now, we hope you all enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend. Until next time
